The difference between content and noise.
Publishing more doesn't necessarily mean being seen more.
The volume trap
Somewhere along the way, 'consistency' got mistranslated into 'constant'. Brands now post daily — sometimes multiple times a day — because a scheduling tool said so. The result is feeds full of content that fills a calendar but says nothing.
The algorithm doesn't reward volume. It rewards response. Ten forgettable posts do less for a brand than one post people actually remember and share.
What makes content signal instead of noise
Signal is content that could only have come from you. It carries your point of view, your standards, your taste. Noise is content that any brand in your category could have posted — motivational quotes, generic tips, trend-chasing formats with your logo stamped on.
- Noise fills the grid; signal builds the brand.
- Noise asks 'what should we post today?'; signal asks 'what do we have to say?'
- Noise measures output; signal measures impact.
A better cadence
Post when you have something worth saying, at a rhythm you can sustain with quality. For most brands, three excellent pieces a week will outperform seven mediocre ones — in reach, in recall, and in how the brand is perceived.
Your audience doesn't experience your content as a calendar. They experience it one post at a time, and each one either raises or lowers their opinion of you.
The quiet confidence of saying less
The strongest brands are comfortable with silence between statements. They understand that attention is earned through discernment — and that every post is either an asset or a withdrawal from the brand's account.
